What is Hepatitis?
Hepat means liver
Itis means inflammation.
Hepatitis means inflammation in the liver. This happens due to a viral infection. This infection damages the liver cells and hinders the normal functioning of the liver.

Types of Hepatitis Virus
- Hepatitis A (HAV)
Spread through impure water and food.

- Hepatitis B (HBV)
Spread through blood, semen, infected needles, (mother to baby)

Effective treatment is available for this but no vaccine. - Hepatitis D (HDV)
KDV infected those who have already diagnosed with HBV and make infection severe.
There is no vaccine for KDV but we have vaccine for HBV.
- Hepatitis E (HEV)
Spread through unfiltered water and mostly acute but chronic for a pregnant woman.

Common Symptoms

But sometimes there is not a single symptom of a Hepatitis that is why it is also called a silent killer.
Prevention
